Another Tour de France has come and gone and for the third straight year we have accompanied the VeloNews team and captured the behind the scenes action as it unfolded. This year’s adventure began with a preview of the Garmin-Chipotle team at their training camp in Girona, Spain. Memorable videos from this part of the trip were the re-branding of the team cars & buses – http://www.velonews.tv/?Art_ID=2177 – and a front row seat for a Garmin-Chipotle team training ride including Team Columbia riders George Hincapie & Michael Barry – http://www.velonews.tv/?Art_ID=2174.

Once the Tour kicked off in Brest, France, we were in full throttle production mode for the duration of the race. VeloNews setup daily rider diaries with Garmin-Chipotle’s Magnus Backstedt and Team Columbia’s Geaorge Hincapie prior to the start of the Tour. Magnus did not make the time cut on stage 7 and left the Tour the following day. New Zealand national champion Julian Dean filled in for Magnus for the rest of the race.

George Hincapie syndicated the VeloNews video player on his own website, providing his fans with daily video content from the Tour de France – http://www.georgehincapie.com/video.aspx

Rocky Mountain Sports magazine also syndicated the VeloNews TV video player on the main page of their website – http://www.rockymountainsports.com

Here is a list of some of our favorite videos from this year’s edition of the Tour de France:
Stage 9: Post race – making sense of the chaos
